Cellulite Removal: Natural Methods

With the advancement of technology today, a lot of treatments are being advertised to lessen and remove cellulite. But that doesn’t mean natural means are any less effective. In fact, they can even target the main culprit for having them in the first place. Natural methods start improving your body from within so that they can prevent the accumulation of cellulite without you shelling a lot of money. Here are some methods you can try on your own to remove cellulite:

  1. Eat a healthy diet

Eating a healthier diet is the most important method to get rid of cellulite. Yes, there are treatments that burn the fat underneath your skin and connective tissue, but these are just temporary solutions. If you still keep on consuming high-calorie foods, cellulite will come back in no time.

Since cellulite is just excess fatty tissue that isn’t broken down right away, then the diet you should have is one with fewer calories but rich in antioxidants. Antioxidants help in breaking down fatty tissue to be converted to energy. Salmon and berries are a rich source of antioxidants.

To also prevent you from consuming unhealthy snacks in between meals, eating fruits and vegetables should be added to your diet. They have a rich water content so they keep your body hydrated and full even if you don’t eat a lot.

  1. Drink lots of fluids

Without enough water intake, your body will have a hard time breaking down cellulite. Dehydration can also act as hunger, that is why there are times that even if you’ve just eaten, you feel the need to eat again. At least 1.5 liters a day is a good step towards the right direction. For better results, you can add slices of lemon in your water to improve bowel movement.

  1. Exercise

Another way of removing cellulite the natural way is through exercise. Exercise increases your metabolic rate which is responsible for breaking down the fatty tissue in your body. When exercising, focus on movements that target the common areas where cellulite is present – thighs, buttocks, legs, and back of the arms.

  1. Dry brushing

Dry brushing is probably the easiest method to help remove cellulite. All you need is a dry bristled brush. Just rub it in a circular motion on your dry skin before taking a bath. This helps in blood circulation and removal of cellulite. When you do this, make sure that you don’t push too hard on your skin so it won’t dry out.

  1. Body scrubs

The most common body scrub to try is the coffee scrub. Coffee is rich in caffeine which aids cellulite removal. Simply mix a 1/4 cup of coffee grounds with 3 tablespoons of brown sugar. Add 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and mix them to form a paste-like substance. Apply this for around 2-3 times a week to the body parts that have cellulite.
